Würgassen nuclear power plant
As of October 2016, dismantling completed.
In October 2016, I visited the Würgassen nuclear power plant (KKW for short) for my master's thesis »Bis zur grünen Wiese«. At the time of my visit, the dismantling of the power plant had already been completed. Conventional demolition is still to come.
My master's project shows photographs of the running nuclear power plant, through various dismantling phases, to final disposal and the greenfield site.
All nuclear power plants still in operation in Germany were taken off the grid on April 15, 2023.
