Grafenrheinfeld nuclear power plant
As of 2014, last revision before shutdown of the KKG in 2015
Back in 2014, I visited the Grafenrheinfeld nuclear power plant (KKG for short) for a study project. At that time, the last inspection was taking place there before the KKG was taken off the grid in 2015. During my master's thesis »Bis zur grünen Wiese«, I continued to focus on the KKG, which is still a significant part of my professional photographic career today. I visit the KKG several times a year and document the dismantling work taking place there.
My master's project shows photographs from the running nuclear power plant, through various dismantling phases, to final disposal and the greenfield site.
All nuclear power plants still in operation in Germany went off the grid on April 15, 2023.
